Washroom sealing in Eastrop

Facilities managers, contractors and building owners have used us for washroom sealing for over 20 years. Our applicators are CSCS-carded, and we are CHAS accredited and a Constructionline member. There is public liability insurance behind every job. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months. We work on urinals and WCs, accessible toilets and changing rooms and vanity units and basins, and the usual reasons a site gets in touch are stained sealant around pans and urinals and resealing that didn’t last because the old bead stayed. Facilities teams, main contractors and managing agents in Eastrop tend to want the same three things: a clear scope, tidy work and joints that don’t fail again.

A place of Eastrop’s size will typically have a few buildings with commercial washrooms: a school, a surgery, a pub or café, perhaps a care home. They don’t need a big crew, but they do need old sealant fully cut out before anti-mould silicone goes on.

Work we carry out in Hampshire comes with a 12-month guarantee. If an installation problem shows up, call 01277 525 020 or use the quote form and we’ll arrange a return visit.

For managing agents and facilities managers

Main contractors use us as their sealant subcontractor on new-build and refurbishment projects. Programme, specification and site rules come first, and our applicators hold CSCS cards.

Agents, factors and owners’ representatives all follow the same route: send details, get a fixed quote, we seal, guaranteed. We can agree access arrangements and keyholder contacts beforehand.

Looking after the joints

Your facilities or cleaning team can help the joints last. Share these points with them:

  • Respect the cure time before reopening each room
  • Make sure washroom ventilation is running
  • Don’t leave trays and floors sitting wet
  • Include joints in routine washroom inspections

Include sealant joints in your planned maintenance checks. Look for black spotting, cracks, peeling edges and gaps at the busiest fittings and photograph anything new.

Mouldy sealant only gets harder to ignore and users notice. Dealing with it while it’s just the sealant keeps it simple.

What the job involves on each surface

IPS and cubicle panels

Panel systems meet walls, floors and vanity tops at sealed joints. Those joints protect the boards behind from water.

Basins and vanity tops

Natural stone tops can be marked by acetoxy silicone, so the product is chosen to suit.

Doing it in-house

General builders and handymen seal joints, but it isn’t their main trade. A specialist brings correct preparation, depth control with backing rod and a product suited to that particular joint.

Using site staff can make sense for a small touch-up, but larger jobs are different: a specialist brings efficiency, a consistent finish and a 12-month guarantee.

Leave it or put it right?

Water gets behind panels and under floors through a failed joint. That can lead to swollen boards, marked ceilings below and lingering smells which costs more to fix than a reseal. A failed joint lets water into a building whatever its size. Early resealing avoids the damage that follows a leak.

Whether it’s a single area or a whole estate, the same things set the price: scope, access, product and programme. Call for a quote, and you will have a fixed figure to work with.

What you get with us

There are plenty of hotels within about 2 miles of Eastrop. Each has en suites, back-of-house toilets and kitchens with sealant that moulds and splits. Rooms are done in turn so most stay available. The 2 miles around Eastrop include two care or nursing homes. In a care setting, a mouldy or lifting joint in a wet room is a hygiene issue as much as a cosmetic one. Our process

Inspect, seal, sign off: every visit follows that pattern. First comes an inspection and agreement on scope, then the work is carried out to the specified product and detail, and we finish with a walk round so the work can be signed off. Several jobs near Eastrop can be grouped on one trip. Tell us your site hours and we’ll plan around them.

  1. Every room is surveyed and the failed joints listed.
  2. You get a fixed quote with the phasing plan.
  3. The whole of the old bead is removed.
  4. Each joint is cleaned and left dry.
  5. New anti-mould sealant goes in and is tooled neat.

Advice

Your questions answered

Will you work in a care home in Eastrop without moving residents out?

Yes. We work around residents’ routines, a room or two at a time. Tell us about any infection-control or safeguarding requirements and we’ll work to them.

Is Eastrop too far out for you?

No. Small places get the same service as large ones. London and every South East county are within our area. We plan jobs in smaller places so return trips are kept to a minimum.

Do you offer coloured sealant?

Often, yes. Sealants are made in a wide range of standard colours, and matching to RAL references or nearby finishes is commonly requested. We will confirm the colours available for the specified product.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes. We’re fully insured, and the certificate can go with your quote.

How long will the new sealant last?

There isn’t a single answer, since movement, weather, cleaning and use all affect it. Regular checks let you plan resealing before leaks or damage.

Are your applicators CSCS-carded?

Yes. Our applicators hold CSCS cards.

Do you need to see the site first?

That depends on the size and complexity of the job. Straightforward work can often be priced from photos and measurements, while larger or less clear jobs get a site visit first.
